Great times and another stellar course. Super fun hanging out on the top of the hill, cheering on and even some mild heckeling of the 4s and 4/5s.

Here’s my gopro footage from the Single Speed race. Battery didn’t make it until the end. Fun course, thanks Garner!

Cold, but not as cold as I worried. Having the Sun out made it all the nicer. And somehow the course felt more accessible for spectating than last year.

Greatly appreciate the Womens 1/2 race being close to a full 45 minutes (43:44) for the leaders yesterday. I wish this could happen every week. It was an exciting and close race and it makes a huge difference to be racing for the full amount of time when we go to bigger races and have to race for closer to 50 minutes or more. It’s a tough decision for officials to make as people end up getting pulled or lapped which I know sucks, but as long as everyone is safe while passing, which everyone was yesterday, it means that we all get around the same time. I appreciate that it’s a tough job for officials and I’m grateful to all of them who come out every week and facilitate our races regardless of finishing time.

I left a black Gore coat and pair of gloves at the starting grid if anyone found it?

I collected all the clothing left behind; bagged it, and loaded it into the CCC trailer. There was definitely a black Gore jacket and probably a pair of gloves.

I’ll pull it Friday morning and have it at registration Saturday.

The light levels really changed between races. I’ll need to rethink the which glasses to wear.

Had a great start in Cat 4 and then suffered a slow leaking pinch flat on the second lap. Was able to ride to the pits only to be given a wheel with probably 15 PSI in it. Practically flat for a 175 lb rider. Don’t get me wrong, I greatly appreciate the Sram neutral pits but just be aware of your tire pressures before leaving the pits.

Anyone pick up a pair of black bib tights out of the locker room? I assumed the rec center lost -and-found would have them but no luck.

🇧🇪 Wout van Aert's last race will be the Super 8 Classic on 20 September. No Worlds, Euros and no Gravel Worlds either. "Our plan is to end the season very early and to rest a little quicker." To: "Hopefully do a good winter."

Sounds like a plan. 🔥
