The West Lafayette Cyclocross Challenge
Saturday, November 17
The race is presented by 2WheelSports & Benga Sports with special assistance by the Purdue Cycling Club. The race expects racers from Indianapolis, Cincinatti, Louisville and Chicago. Chicago is a mere 1.5 hours drive to West Lafayette, IN.
The UCI Carousel Volkswagen Jingle Cross Rock Cyclocross weekend takes place in Iowa City, Iowa on the weekend of Sat/Sun November 24th and 25th. The event is short 3 hours drive from Chicago.
The cross race is unique and entirely for our Children's Hospital with ALL race proceeds from rider entry fees donated 100% to the University of Iowa Children's Hospital. Meanwhile, riders are treated to an amazing weekend of cyclocross with 27 events over two days. Jingle Cross Rock is awarding nearly $20,000 in cash, merchandise, and swag prizes. In addition to the usual outstanding cross riders from the Midwest and around the US, International ProTour riders such as Chris Horner and Jason McCartney have raced our event and will be back again in 2007. UCI points are up for grabs for men and women elite riders on BOTH days. Also, we have some of the largest payouts in the US to beginners, masters, ladies, intermediate riders, and even single speeders. For example, the event has 10 events just for women with a payout of $4500 to the ladies for the entire weekend.
